Messages from Above - On Zoom

To allow for as many people to have the opportunity at securing tickets and attending a virtual Messages from Above event, we ask that at this time you please limit ticket purchases to no more than 3 of the upcoming 2021 event dates.

*All ticket sales are non-refundable and non-transferable to any other event. Once you've completed your order, you will not be able to receive a refund or switch your tickets to a different event date, so if you still have any questions or concerns, please be sure to read through this FAQ page prior to checking out.

*Just as with Monica's in-person events, purchasing a ticket DOES NOT guarantee a reading.

Frequently Asked Questions

Other Event-Related Questions

Will this event be recorded? Are attendees allowed to take photos or record audio and/or video at any point during the event?

This event WILL NOT be recorded. Just as with Monica's in-person events, ALL TYPES OF PHOTOGRAPHY ALONG WITH VIDEO AND/OR AUDIO RECORDING OF ANY KIND IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED during ANY portion of the event or while Monica is giving readings (even if you or a member of your group are the ones receiving the messages). Any individual or group who attempts to violate this will be removed from the Zoom Meeting (without any refunds or ticket transfers) and will be subject to legal action. Please be aware that recording Monica without her consent is against the law. **The only exception to this is during Monica's introduction (prior to when any readings have begun) she will take a minute or two to provide the audience with an opportunity to take a quick screenshot photo / Zoom selfie photo or video. However, please wait until she's made the announcement that it is okay to do so. After that point, she will notify the audience that no further photography or recording of any kind will be permitted from that moment on.

Are infants or children permitted to attend this event?

Sorry, no infants or children under 12 years of age are permitted to attend a Messages from Above event. Children 12 and older may attend a Zoom event with a parent or guardian (but must still have their own ticket) however, please note that sensitive material, topics, and/or curse words often come up during Monica's introduction, as well as during the readings.

Can I have my dog, baby, or anyone else in the room with me during the event?

For those who purchased a single ticket: you must be in a QUIET and PRIVATE room for the entire duration of the Zoom call with absolutely NO roommates, significant others, family, friends, babies/infants, children, **pets, or any other distractions in the same room as you or within earshot of your device (ie. even if we can't see them, you can't have someone listening in on the event, as this opens the door to more Spirits trying to come through and is both dishonest and unfair to Monica, as well as those who purchased tickets). Anyone found violating this will be removed from the Zoom Meeting by a member of the MTM Team and will not receive any refunds or ticket transfers. For those who purchase multiple tickets: the number of individuals present in the room and behind your webcam must match up with the number of tickets purchased, and the ticket holders you check-in with must be the same people with you on the Zoom call for the entire event. You cannot swap out members of your group at any point throughout the event, or you'll be removed from the Zoom Meeting by a member of the MTM Team and will not receive any refunds or ticket transfers. You and the other ticket holders associated with your order must be together in a QUIET and PRIVATE room for the entire duration of the Zoom call with absolutely NO roommates, significant others, family, friends, babies/infants, children, **pets, or any other distractions in the same room or within earshot of you and the other ticket holders associated with your order. **Exception: Monica is understanding of those who require an emotional support or service animal in the room, however, please be aware that should Spirit end up coming through for you and you're selected to receive some messages from above, you'll be required to unmute your microphone, and in the event that your furry friend starts barking or creates any other disruptions, this can significantly affect Monica's ability to connect to Spirit and might negatively impact the quality of your reading.

I'm not very computer savvy. Is this going to be a problem?

Ticket holders MUST be able to use Zoom proficiently. If you are someone who has trouble navigating Zoom, computers, and/or modern technology, this event may not be the right fit for you. All attendees are responsible for familiarizing themselves with Zoom and making sure that they have a reliable internet connection / Wifi for this event as well as a fully charged or plugged in laptop, computer, or mobile device with the Zoom application pre-downloaded in order to join the Zoom Meeting. You'll have the best experience / full functionality by downloading Zoom (and don’t worry, it's free!) rather than selecting the option that allows you to join via your web browser. All ticket holders must also have working video/audio capabilities in order to attend (ie. you must have a built-in or plugged in webcam and microphone) and must adhere to the other terms and conditions listed on this page and that are agreed to upon checking out. Additionally, ticket holders will have to correctly follow the check-in instructions (which will be emailed 48-72 hours prior to the event) in order to be admitted into the Zoom Meeting. If you do not or can not follow all of the requirements or if you are not tech savvy enough to figure out how to use Zoom, please wait until Monica resumes in-person events and DO NOT purchase tickets to an online event. Alternatively, you could try finding a tech savvy friend or family member who would be willing to purchase the tickets for the two of you to be able to attend the event together — that way they would be the one to receive the e-ticket confirmation email (which you both would need for the check-in process) as well as the email with the Zoom Meeting info sent out 48-72 hours prior to the event and you can have that person be in charge of following the check-in instructions, joining the Zoom Meeting, and making any necessary adjustments to your video, audio, and Zoom settings.

I live in another country. Can I still purchase tickets?

Yes! However, please be aware that the entire event is in English and there are no written or verbal translations (so you must be proficient in understanding/speaking English). In addition, all of the virtual events are scheduled in PT (Pacific Time Zone) and therefore depending on where you live, some of these live events could be taking place in the middle of the night. Please double check the time difference prior to purchasing tickets to ensure you'll be able to attend, as all ticket sales are non-refundable and non-transferable to any other event.

Is there a call-in or audio-only option for attending this event? Or will I be required to have my video turned on the whole time?

No, there will NOT be a call-in or audio-only option for this event. With exception of quick emergency bathroom breaks and the 15-minute intermission about halfway through the event, you and any other ticket holders associated with your order must have your video TURNED ON and must be visibly present behind your webcam (with decent lighting so we can see you) for the entire duration of the Zoom call, otherwise you'll be removed from the Zoom Meeting and will not receive any refunds or ticket transfers. Though your video must be TURNED ON, all attendees will remain ON MUTE for the entire duration of the event unless Monica specifically asks you to unmute yourself (however, Monica will almost always be the one to manually mute and unmute attendees whom she's bringing through Spirit for). For individual-ticket holders: please plan on wearing headphones/earbuds or having them readily available during the event, as this will help with reducing audioback feedback in the event that Monica unmutes your microphone.

How do the virtual events differ from Monica's in-person's Messages from Above events? How many people will be in attendance?

Besides lower ticket prices, reduced audience capacities, being able to skip driving or sitting in traffic, no waiting in lines, and getting to attend in sweatpants from the comfort of your own home? These virtual Messages from Above events will be just like Monica's in-person mediumship events, except that instead of the usual 350-500 people in attendance, the Zoom Meetings will have somewhere between 150-250 people in attendance (though some Zoom events could be slightly larger than that, as the max capacity is limited to 275 total attendees per event). These virtual events also run slightly longer than Monica's in-person events; with the Zoom events having a total length of approx. 2 hours (which includes a 15-minute intermission about half way through). However, please note that just as with Monica's in-person events, ticket purchases DO NOT guarantee a reading. Monica always recommends going into any event with ZERO expectations at getting a reading, and to rather go into it with the understanding and mindset that you'll still enjoy and benefit from the experience even if you do not receive a personal message from above. While Monica will only have a enough time to give a limited number of individual readings on the Zoom call, everyone can gain something by attending these events, as the majority of attendees will still find lessons, healing, comfort, and validation through the readings and experiences of others.

Does the purchase of a ticket guarantee a reading?

Just as with Monica's in-person events, purchasing a ticket to a Zoom event DOES NOT guarantee a reading. For more information, please read the note from Monica below. ------------------------------------------------------------ A Note from Monica to People Interested in Attending Mediumship Events:
For me or any other medium, channeling Spirit at events is an unpredictable process. Sometimes thirty spirits come through, and sometimes thirteen do. There have been events where I've given five readings by the end of the night, and other events where I've given fifteen. I make it clear up front that I’m just the messenger, and I can’t guarantee who will come through on any given night or how long they'll communicate for (that’s true for readings of any variety). It’s never a good idea to come to an event with the mindset that you HAVE to get a reading or direct message from Spirit. In fact, I encourage people to go into events expecting that they won’t get a reading and to enjoy it as a more general healing experience. The bottom line is that Spirit always comes through for the people who need it the most, not who want it the most. At the end of my events, I always jokingly remind people, “I promise your mom (or whoever you were hoping to hear from) still loves you even if they didn't come through tonight. Even if you didn't receive a direct message from Spirit, it doesn't mean they love you any less or that they aren't safe and at peace." It’s tricky because when you’re grieving, of course it feels like you need these messages the most. But you have to remember that loss affects everyone differently, and you have no idea what the other people in the room (or Zoom Meeting) are going through. I get that it’s human nature to want to hear from your specific loved ones. The problem is that if you get too stuck on that, you will miss out on all of the other bits and pieces of other people’s messages that might very well directly apply to you as well. I can't tell you how many attendees receive healing messages, signs, and their own little "hello's from Heaven" through the readings of others. Additionally, I've noticed that many of my Messages from Above events will often end up having themes. For instance, on some nights I'll notice there are a lot of dads coming through, only to then realize that Father’s Day is soon approaching. When this has happened, it's not a coincidence! It’s safe to assume that a lot of people are missing their dads around that time of year, so Spirit will come together to help heal and offer peace. On other nights, there might be a lot of people in the audience who have lost children or other loved ones to something specific like suicide or cancer, and a big group of those
souls come through. Some nights are lighthearted to the point where everyone is laughing at departed sassy grandmas and hysterical dads, whereas other nights are filled with tears and tragic stories. Spirit works it out amongst themselves and will "line up" to come through during an event knowing which souls and messages will have the maximum impact for that particular audience and touch the people who need to hear them most. I can’t tell people enough that they are never at an event on accident. Spirit led you to that event for a reason. You are in a specific audience because you’re meant to be, and because something is being offered for you to learn or heal from. In fact, most people receive validation and healing messages through the readings of others. A woman once contacted me to share her experience with this. She explained that she was born with a missing chromosome, which led her to face many challenges in life. She had gone through more than thirty major surgeries and two near-death car accidents, and she couldn’t help but wonder, “What’s the point? What is my purpose on this Earth?” Family members often told this woman that she had a tremendous impact on the people in her life, but she struggled to accept this. Then she decided to attend one of my events and heard a message that changed her entire outlook. She said: "Monica channeled a kid who had an extra chromosome and, already, I’m listening intently. She said that he impacted and inspired so many lives and that’s what all of my friends say about me. I felt as if Monica was talking about me. Then she said that when he transitioned into Heaven, he no longer had a disability, and that he was, in fact, a whole person. That gave me so much peace, joy, and
strength to carry on. I started crying uncontrollably because before, I felt my whole life had been a mistake and now I know that I’m here for a purpose. My family friend turned to me during the reading and said,
"She’s describing you." There’s no doubt I was meant to be there."
Along with all of this, it’s a profound experience just to be in a room (or in a Zoom Meeting) where so much healing and communication is happening. That alone can alter a person’s entire perception on life and death. I've had many people share with me that they were forever changed from having attended an event, regardless of whether Spirit specifically came through for them or not.

How easy to follow are the check-in instructions that will be emailed to ticket holders 48-72 hours prior to the event?

The check-in instructions that will be emailed 48-72 hours prior to the event are fairly easy to follow, especially if you're already familiar with using Zoom and are proficient with using computers/basic technology. Within the check-in instructions you'll also find screenshots showing the exact step-by-step process for joining the Zoom Meeting as per our check-in process in order to gain entry into the Zoom Meeting. It is the responsibility of all ticket holders to review the email sent 48-72 hours prior to the event, with the Zoom Meeting info and check-in instructions prior to the event. Failure to follow the check-in instructions may result in being locked out of the event and forfeiting your ticket(s). Therefore, please be sure to use a valid email address (that you actually check) when purchasing tickets and double check for any typos in your email address before completing your order. For those who purchase multiple tickets, the initial e-ticket confirmation email as well as the email sent 48-72 hours prior to the event, will only be sent to the email address associated with the order, so if that person can no longer attend the event, they will need to make sure they provide the other ticket holders associated with their order with the e-ticket code, Zoom Meeting info, and check-in instructions. If for any reason you have not received the email with the Zoom Meeting ID, passcode, and check-in instructions at least 48-72 hours prior to the event, please be sure to check your spam folder. If the event is less than 48 hours away and you still don't see the email in your inbox or junk folder, please return to this page and use the "Help" form to contact us or email orders@monicathemedium.com with the the subject line "HAVE NOT RECEIVED ZOOM INFO" and in your message/email, please include the event date that you purchased tickets for as well as the name and email address that was used for the order.

Audience-style mediumship events aren't my jam. Can I please schedule a private reading with Monica instead?

Sorry, but Monica DOES NOT offer scheduled one-on-one or private group readings, nor does she have any sort of waitlist. This applies to both in-person and virtual sessions. However, she does offer opportunities to enter for a chance to win a free private or group reading via the Free Reading Giveaways that she hosts periodically throughout the year. Make sure you’re subscribed to her mailing list through this website and follow her on social media ( @MonicatheMedium) to be notified when these giveaways occur. Monica also does free mini-readings from time-to-time on episodes of her podcast, Wine & Spirits with Monica the Medium. To learn more and to enter for a chance to win a surprise reading on a future episode, click here.

Does Monica mind if ticket holders are eating or drinking during the event?

If Spirit ends up coming through for you and Monica unmutes your microphone while giving you a mini-reading, taking sips of your beverages is fine, but please hold off on eating anything until she's finished channeling Spirit and you've been placed back on mute. Otherwise, all ticket holders are more than welcome to enjoy their own snacks / dinner / drinks during the event. However, for those of you in the 21+ crowd who might be sipping on wine or other alcoholic beverages, should Spirit attempt to come through for you during the event, please be aware that anything beyond 1-2 drinks or a slight buzz can have a negative impact on the quality of your reading and can make it more difficult for Spirit to get their messages through to you.

Questions Related to Spirit / the Process of Mediumship

What if my loved ones in Spirit did not speak English? Would Monica still be able to understand and communicate with them if they end up coming through for me during the event?

For the answer to this question, please read the excerpt below from Monica's book, Messages from Above: What Your Loved Ones in Heaven Want You to Know; which is available in ebook and paperback formats on Amazon, Barnes & Noble online (as well as in select B&N retail stores across the United States) and on other online retailers. The audiobook is available to order on Audible and Itunes Audiobooks. Hardcover copies, as well as signed and inscribed copies, are exclusively carried through Monica's online store. ---------------- What if Spirit Spoke a Different Language on Earth? On the Other Side, we all speak the same universal language. It’s kind of like the language of love. Therefore, I don’t experience any sort of communication barrier with people who spoke a different language than I do here on Earth. The only thing that can get a bit tricky to interpret are cultural differences. Since a Spirit who lived in a different culture might have a different frame of reference than I do, it can sometimes be difficult to interpret things like that super specific foreign cuisine that your Russian grandmother always cooked, or that Japanese board game that you played with your dad as a child. I can still do my best to describe what Spirit is showing me, though, even if it takes a bit more explanation. For example, I might not be familiar with Borscht, a Russian beet soup, but I can describe the visual I’m getting of your grandmother cooking soup and chopping up beets. As with any other job, it’s important to keep growing and expanding as a medium. I mean, I love to travel regardless, but I also feel like seeing as many cultures as possible expands my frame of reference and allows Spirit to show and tell me even more in future readings. I like to revise and update my Spirit Dictionary as often as I can.

In the event that Spirit ends up coming through for me during this event, is there anything I should do beforehand to increase the quality of the reading?

For the answer to this question, please read the response below from Monica: Mediumship readings involve three people: the medium, Spirit, and you. During a reading, there is a three-way connection going on, even if you are not actively doing the work. You can think of yourself as an energetic conduit that both myself (aka the medium) and Spirit will interact with. Because of this, you will want to do whatever you can to keep your energy levels as strong and as vibrant as possible. Following are some general tips for doing that. -Balance any skepticism you might have with a sense of openness. Too much skepticism can create energy blockages, making it much more difficult for Spirit to come through. - Try to avoid drinking alcohol or doing drugs in the twenty-four hours beforehand. This lowers your vibration, which affects not only your energy, but also the energy of the medium, making it much harder for me to connect to your loved ones. -Freshen up on details about your loved ones who’ve passed for validation purposes. It helps to know the first and middle names of your family members on both sides, their personality, illnesses, how they passed, important dates (deaths, birthdays, anniversaries), what they did for a living, favorite hobbies, and so forth. That way, should Spirit end up coming through for you during the event, the reading flow easier and the whole experience will be more worthwhile for you. -Get a good night of sleep the night beforehand. You’ll want to be well rested and clear headed during the event. -Going into an event, try to release as much stress, anxiety, and nervousness as possible. I always say, the less nervous you are, the easier it'll be for me to channel your loved ones in Spirit if they end up coming through!

Should I make an effort to wear a t-shirt with my loved ones photo on it or Zoom in from a location where Monica would be able to see photos or trinkets from my deceased loved ones hung up behind me? Would that increase my chances at receiving a reading or strengthen the connection if Spirit comes through for me?

No! In fact, doing so would likely make it HARDER for Monica to connect to Spirit and interpret their messages correctly; as this could create bias and cause Monica to second-guess or question what's coming through from Spirit. If you would like to tuck your mother's favorite lipstick in your pocket, or wear your daughter's memory necklace under your blouse or keep a photo of your father behind your computer (out-of-site) you're more than welcome to do so! However, please don't try and wear or display these things during the Zoom call in an effort to get a reading. For Monica, she works best when she has as clear of a "blank slate" as possible. Meaning that the LESS she knows about a person, the EASIER it is for her to communicate with their loved ones and bring through messages for them.

My loved one came through for me during one of Monica's in-person events 5 years ago. Would Monica recognize or remember them if they were to try and come through again for me or my other family members during one of these virtual events?

For the answer to this question, please read the excerpt below from Monica's book, Messages from Above: What Your Loved Ones in Heaven Want You to Know; which is available in ebook and paperback formats on Amazon, Barnes & Noble online (as well as in select B&N retail stores across the United States) and on other online retailers. The audiobook is available to order on Audible and Itunes Audiobooks. Hardcover copies, as well as signed and inscribed copies, are exclusively carried through Monica's online store. ------------------------------ Cleansing Communication A lot of times, people talk to me about readings that I have done for them in the past. While I’m so glad that the information I was able to bring through stuck with them, I usually don’t remember the reading myself. I purposefully cleanse my energy after every event and reading because if I don’t, I end up carrying around a bunch of information, energy, and emotion that isn’t mine. This can be incredibly draining to hold on to. There are a handful of readings that I will never forget, but these are the rare exceptions. I usually remember a reading when it hits home with me or triggers something personal that I can relate to. Some readings teach me lessons that I don’t want to forget; I want to carry them forward with me for the rest of my life. In those cases, I journal about the readings so that I can remember what a soul or experience had to teach me. Every now and then I’ll channel a Spirit who’s come through in a past reading, but I usually don’t realize it. The energy might feel familiar, a lot like if you were to run into someone you’ve met briefly before but don’t really know. Usually this isn’t the case, though, and I actually prefer not knowing that I’ve already channeled a particular Spirit. That allows me to be in a clearer state and to be a stronger channel. I won’t start to wonder, “Did this come through last time?” or “What was said?” Questions like these can serve as another form of bias. For the most part, this isn’t an issue since I let go of readings and can’t remember them after the fact. In this way it’s a lot like day-to-day human conversations. If you think about your own life, my bet is that you talk to so many people every day that your brain releases most of those conversations over time. It’s just a select few meaningful ones that stick with you over the long run.

I still have so many questions about the process of mediumship and life after death! Where can I learn more?

Your best resource would be reading or listening to Monica's book, Messages from Above: What Your Loved Ones in Heaven Want You to Know; which is available in ebook and paperback formats on Amazon, Barnes & Noble online (as well as in select B&N retail stores across the United States) and on other online retailers. The audiobook is available to order on Audible and Itunes Audiobooks. Hardcover copies, as well as signed and inscribed copies, are exclusively carried through Monica's online store. For those who are coming into their own gifts and are in search for guidance, Monica teaches a 6-week online course, called "A Beginer's Guide to Connecting to Spirit" — click on the "ONLINE COURSE" tab at the top of this website to learn more and to enroll in the next round (which begins May 10, 2021).

Can Monica communicate with deceased pets? Do cats, dogs, or other furry friends ever come through during the readings at Monica's events?

For the answer to this question, please read the excerpt below from Monica's book, Messages from Above: What Your Loved Ones in Heaven Want You to Know; which is available in ebook and paperback formats on Amazon, Barnes & Noble online (as well as in select B&N retail stores across the United States) and on other online retailers. The audiobook is available to order on Audible and Itunes Audiobooks. Hardcover copies, as well as signed and inscribed copies, are exclusively carried through Monica's online store. ------------------------- An excerpt from Chapter 10, Animals Have Souls Too If you have a pet, I’m sure it comes as no surprise to you that animals have souls just like human beings do. Next to children, some of the strongest communicators in the Spirit World are pets who want to connect with their owners. In fact, pets are so communicative that I have to be careful about them at events or I’m pretty sure that I would end up channeling dogs and cats for two hours straight. Before I go onstage, I ask Spirit to be aware of the fact that there are a couple of hundred people in the room, so we really should do our best to focus on human loved ones. To be honest, though, most people are just as excited to connect with their pets as they are to any other member of their family who has passed. For many of us, our pets are our family and are just as important as anyone else. Especially when I used to do private readings back in the day and even now when I do spontaneous readings or one-on-one sessions for giveaway winners, pets love to come through and make their presence known. They want to validate for their owners that they are around just as much as every other member of the family on the Other Side. Through these readings, I’m constantly struck by how beautiful and profound our connection with our pets is. Our pets offer us one of the greatest examples of unconditional and transcendent love that we can experience in this lifetime. I see the depth of this love not only from the spirits of animals but also from their owners’ reactions to them. I have seen people cry more when their dog comes through than when a grandparent does plenty of times. It’s always a reminder to me that sometimes we do not take people’s grief seriously enough when they lose a beloved pet. ------------------------------------------------------- With that being said, though pets occasionally come through during my Messages from Above events; when they do, it tends to be very brief and they'll just quickly pop in at the same time someone's human loved ones are coming through. However, for the most part pets will most often step aside altogether to allow for more time and energy to go towards connecting to the souls of audience members' human loved ones. Therefore, if you receive a reading during an event and are feeling upset over the fact that your dog or cat didn't also come through with messages for you, please realize it's not because your furry friend doesn't love you or that they aren't safe and at peace in Heaven, but rather, they were gratious enough to step aside to allow for more Spirits to come through with messages for attendees that truly need them the most. Maybe one day I'll try hosting a "Pets-Only" Messages from Above event, where I could dedicate the entire event to solely channeling messages from people's beloved pets. But until then, I know Spirit will amost always prioritize things so that mainly human loved ones come through during my events; which makes total sense to me, considering it'd tick off a lot of people if a single dog coming through were to take up 15 minutes out of a ninety-minute or two-hour event, when meanwhile, there's likely multiple parents in the audience praying that their son or daughter in Spirit has the opportunity to come through and communicate.

Questions About Purchasing Multiple Tickets

I would love for my best friend to attend this virtual event with me! Should we purchase our tickets under one order or buy them separately?

Each person that will be attending / watching / listening into this event must have their own individual ticket and must be visibily present behind the webcam. For example, if you would like to have your bestie sitting next to you during the Zoom Meeting, then you MUST purchase two tickets instead of one. Or if you and your two sisters are planning to make a girls night out of this, you would need to purchase three tickets. However, please note that you and any other ticket holders associated with your order will only be able to join the Zoom Meeting via ONE device and therefore you must all be physically present behind the same computer/laptop or mobile device for the duration of the event. If you would like to have the option to join the Zoom Meeting from separate devices or different locations, then you must purchase each ticket via a separate order / transaction. If you're worried that COVID-19 restrictions or bad weather could ruin your plans to get together in-person with whoever you would like to attend the event with, you might want to just err on the side of caution and purchase separate tickets that way you'll have the option to attend together or apart (but in this case, you would not be eligible to receive the multi-ticket discount, even if you did end up attending the event from the same room / device).

If I later want to add a ticket to my order, will I still receive the multi-ticket discount?

Sorry, but no. The multi-ticket discount is only valid with the purchase of two or more tickets under a single order / transaction. This discount cannot be applied retroactively or at any point after your order is complete, nor is it being offered for groups of two or more who would still like to have the option of attending the event via different devices / locations. If you purchase multiple tickets under the same transaction, then you and the other ticket holder(s) associated with your order will only be able to join the Zoom Meeting via the same single device — to have the option of joining the Zoom Meeting from different devices / locations, you must purchase each regularly priced General Admission ticket under a separate order / transaction. There will be no refunds or partial refunds given should you fail to notice the multi-ticket option until after placing your order. In addition, the discount will not be offered or applied retroactively in the event that you later decide to purchase additional tickets or end up purchasing the tickets separately, only to later attend the event via the same device / location.

I know it says that if we purchase multiple tickets via the same transaction, we will be required to join the Zoom Meeting from the same device / room. But what if I purchased my own individual ticket to this event, and later come to find out that my mom happened to have purchased her own ticket to this same exact event, but via a separate tranaction? Would we still be able to attend the event together, from the same device / room?

Yes, you'll still be able to attend the event together! You'll just have to follow the check-in instructions for your particular scenario, which will be emailed to all ticket holders sent out 48-72 hours prior. In addition, make sure that you both make note of your unique e-ticket numbers (which you'll find on the initial e-ticket confirmation email that you each would have received within moments of placing your orders) as you will both need this information for the check-in process, even if you'll now be attending from the same device / room.

Can I purchase two tickets (one for me and one for my plus one) but swap out my best friend during intermission so that my sister can attend the second half of the event with me?

No. For those who purchase multiple tickets, the ticket holders you check-in with must be the same people with you on the Zoom call for the entire event. You cannot swap out members of your group at any point throughout the event, or you'll be removed from the Zoom Meeting by a member of the MTM Team and would not receive any refunds or ticket transfers.

Questions About Gifting Tickets

Can I purchase a ticket (or multiple tickets) as a gift for someone else?

Yes! However, we recommend that you use THEIR email address for the order to ensure that your gift recipient receives the initial e-ticket confirmation email (which they will need for the check-in process on the day of the event) as well as the email that will be sent out to all ticket holders 48-72 hours prior to the event, with the Zoom Meeting ID, passcode, and check-in instructions. If you use YOUR email address for the order, then YOU will be responsible for providing your gift recipient with their e-ticket code (located on the initial e-ticket confirmation which is sent within moments of completing the order). In addition, you will also be responsible for providing your gift recipient with the Zoom Meeting ID, passcode, and check-in instructions that will be emailed to you 48-72 hours prior the event. Should you forget to notify your gift recipient and/or if for any reason the person you've gifted the ticket to does not receive the Zoom Meeting information / check-in instructions or does not attend the event for any reason, you will NOT receive any refunds or ticket transfers.

Questions About the Final Sale Policy

Am I able to get a refund if I change my mind or am unable to attend the event for any reason?

All ticket sales are final, non-transferable, and non-transferable to any other event. Once you've completed your order, no refunds, partial refunds, ticket transfers, credits, or partial credits will be given if you change your mind or cannot/do not attend the virtual event or are disconnected from the Zoom Meeting for any reason. Refunds only occur if Monica has to cancel or reschedule the event.

What if I can't afford to purchase a ticket?

Please DO NOT put this event before your basic needs. You should not rack up credit card debt that you can't afford in order to purchase tickets. Especially during these uncertain times and/or if you are at all concerned about losing your job / income due to COVID-19, then you should absolutely HOLD OFF on purchasing tickets for the forseeable future. We are unable to make exceptions to our final sale policy. So please ensure you are able to make the financial comittment PRIOR to purchasing tickets. But don't lose hope - Monica always does a spontaneous live stream on Instagram or Facebook a couple days before every event where she'll randomly selects 1-2 winners to receive free tickets to the next upcoming event. Make sure you're following @MonicatheMedium so you don't miss out on future opportunties for a chance to win!

I know the sales policy says that tickets are "non-transferable" to any other event. Does this also mean that my ticket cannot be gifted to a friend or family member in the event that I cannot attend?

Should something come up and you're no longer able to attend the event, you are welcome to gift your ticket to a friend or family member and our team will be happy to assist by re-issuing the ticket to that person's email address as long as you contact us NO LATER THAN 72 HOURS PRIOR TO THE EVENT via the help form located on the ticket page or by emailing orders@monicathemedium.com (be sure to include the original email address associated with your order AND the new email address for who you would like to transfer the ticket to). In doing so, this will ensure that the new ticket holder receives an e-ticket confirmation email (which they'll need for the check-in process) in addition to receiving the email that will be sent out to all ticket holders 48-72 hours prior to the event with the Zoom Meeting ID, passcode, and check-in instructions that they'll need to follow in order to gain entry into the online event. If it's less than 72 hours prior to the event, you can still gift your ticket to someone, however, in that case, YOU would be responsible for providing your gift recipient with their e-ticket code (located on the initial e-ticket confirmation which is sent within moments of completing the order). In addition, you would also be responsible for providing your gift recipient with the Zoom Meeting ID, passcode, and check-in instructions that will be emailed to you 48-72 hours prior the event. Should you forget to notify your gift recipient and/or if for any reason the person you've gifted the ticket to does not receive the Zoom Meeting information / check-in instructions or does not attend the event for any reason, you will NOT receive any refunds or ticket transfers.

Questions Related to ASL Translation

I'm a member of the deaf community. Will there be closed captioning and/or an ASL interpreter during this event?

For privacy reasons, we are unable to offer or provide closed captioning during any of our in-person or virtual events. However, we have had ASL interpreters at several in-person (and one virtual) Messages from Above events in the past. With that being said, due to the additional costs and planning associated with providing ASL interpreters, we ask that you reach out to us with this request PRIOR to purchasing tickets and at least 30+ days prior to the scheduled event. Should you require our team to coordinate, schedule, and cover the cost for an ASL interpreter in order for you to attend one of these events, please do not purchase your ticket(s) just yet. Instead, please email orders@monicathemedium.com with the subject line "ASL Interpreter Request". There's a chance we might already have an interpreter booked for one of the other 2021 Zoom events, in which case, we would hope that date also works for you. But if not, we will do our best to accommodate, however, we we would still need you to get in touch with us prior to purchasing tickets to any event date (whether it be in-person or virtual) to first confirm that we would have enough time to secure an ASL interpreter for you prior to the event. Alternatively, should you require an interpreter and are able to provide your own (ie. you would be in charge of all the coordinating, hiring, and covering any of the interpreters' fees) then we would be more than happy to accomodate a spot for them in the Zoom Meeting, even if it's on short notice. And regardless of whether you or our team hires the interpreter, they will be able to join the Zoom Meeting free of charge (ie. you would not have to pay for an extra event ticket for the interpreter).
